Sewing Workshop: Makeup Bag | Saturday July 25th | at Mood Fabrics Houston

Join a hands-on class and learn how to sew a makeup bag. Whether you're hoping to make your new favorite accessory or practice sewing zippers, this class is for you.

When: Saturday, July 25th from 1:00-4:30 PM (3.5 hours)
Where: Mood Fabrics, Houston, TX

Class Size: Maximum 10 participants for personalized attention and a supportive learning environment

What You'll Learn

We'll dive into sewing a zipper makeup bag made from a polka-dot cotton fabric. You'll learn:

• How to make a makeup pouch
  
• How to attach and sew a zipper
• What machine settings to use for thick layers
• How to choose the right needle for your project
• How to troubleshoot common sewing issues

What to Bring

• Sewing Machine: Please bring your own sewing machine. 
• Regular Zipper Foot: During this workshop, we will be sewing with a zipper presserfoot. You will need one that is specifically compatible with your machine. If you are unsure which foot to buy, please get in touch with me at hello@oliviasews.co, and I will be happy to provide recommendations.

• All skill levels welcome (I do recommend having basic knowledge of how to thread your machine. I will show you how to do this at the beginning of the class, but it won't be a major focus.)
